These dining chairs have the spring backs that are a 7 layer bent lamination, bent into a comfortable lumbar curve. They conform to your individual back curve. Further, they telescope up into the curved crest rail, allowing them to elongate as you lean back. The seats have two different densities of foam and an open seat frame with elastic straps running each way across the open area at the center. This lets the seat feel thick and deep, while looking light and thin.
